Nokia unveils Additional Members to The Lumia Family: The Lumia 520 and Lumia 720

The Mobile World Conference held in Barcelona is gaining a reputation to one of the events that Nokia fans look forward to. Last year’s event brought us the Nokia 808 PureView, An incredible Smartphone featuring a 41MP camera that enabled lossless zoom.

This year was no exception. Earlier this morning, Nokia announced two Windows Phone devices: the Lumia 520 and Lumia 720. Due out in Asia starting in Q1 2013 then the rest of the world in Q2, these two devices bolster the already solid line of second generation Lumia devices, ensuring that all markets are accounted. From the price sensitive emerging markets of Africa and India to high-end flagship markets.

Though this is now the most affordable Windows Phone 8 device from Nokia, it sports some impressive specs.

Pricing and availability (from Nokia’s press release: “The Nokia Lumia 520 comes in five colors, with an estimated starting price of EUR 139 ($183), before taxes and subsidies. Roll-out is planned to begin in Q1 2013 in Hong Kong and Vietnam, before expanding broadly in Q2 to markets in Europe, Asia – including China and India – Latin America and Africa.“

Nokia Lumia 720

Sporting a new slim uni-body design, the Lumia720 invokes an image of the #Lumia920 on a diet. It sports a curved Clear black with Super sensitive touch display. The camera on the 720 sports a Carl Zeiss 6.76 MP F1.9 Lens.
